Hello everyone! My name is Cameron Miranda and I am a rising sophomore defenseman on the Men’s Ice Hockey team at Hamilton College studying Economics and Government. Originally
from Mendon, Massachusetts, I grew up playing youth hockey for the South Shore Kings before
going to South Kent Selects Academy and The Loomis Chaffee school for my high school
career.
During my time in high school, I found the college hockey recruitment process very complicated and at times frustrating to navigate. It was a constant challenge trying to compete at the highest hockey level while trying to balance academics, family time, social circles, other sports, and community service. Being a CGM sports mentor, I am eager to help athletes looking to elevate their respective talents to the next level by sharing my high school and college recruiting experiences and learnings.
As a mentor, I plan to help athletes:
- Develop time management habits to balance academics and athletics
- Navigate the college recruiting process and assist in identifying the best school
- Help define your brand as an athlete and market yourself to college programs
- Improve and develop leadership skills within and outside of the athletic setting
