Hi everyone! My name is Olivia O’Brien, and I am a rising senior forward on the Boston College women’s hockey team. I’m from Duxbury, Massachusetts and I went to Tabor Academy for four years. I also did a post-graduate year at Phillips Academy Andover. I’m very excited to work with CGM sports because this is a resource I wish I could’ve used during my college recruitment process.
My goal is to guide and support young athletes through this exciting, yet overwhelming process of college recruitment.
Focus areas of the mentorship:
- Ways to best communicate with coaches and questions that you should ask them to better understand if you see yourself going to that school and being apart of that hockey program.
- Time management as a student-athlete
- Help build confidence in the athlete as well as discussing the mental aspect of the game
- Discuss the importance of nutrition at the collegiate level
- Help set your own personal goals academically and athletically
- Share my own personal experiences with you as a current collegiate athlete!
I understand how stressful the idea of playing collegiate hockey is and all the steps that go into getting there. My hope is to make to make this process less intimidating for you. This is a very exciting chapter of your life! You can sign up for my mentorship below! I’m very excited to get the chance to mentor you.
